<description><![CDATA[Tower Hamlets Council is beginning an exercise to test the options and potential benefits for sharing the operation of council ‘back office’ support services with a long-term strategic resources partner. This is part of a drive to achieve savings, improve services for local people and protect jobs in the face of swingeing cuts from central government.
The proposal includes working with a single partner to improve service delivery, provide greater opportunities for staff development and reduce cost on services such as ICT and back office systems.

<title>OJEU Notice - West London boroughs to procure new waste contract</title>

<description><![CDATA[The West London Waste Authority (WLWA) has announced the procurement of a long term contract for residual waste treatment. Covering the boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames, the contract will involve treating up to 300,000 tonnes of waste per year generated by a population of 1.4 million people. 
The procurement covers all aspects of residual waste treatment including any necessary transport, the operation of transfer stations, and contracts for outputs such as compost and refuse-derived fuel.

<title>E-Box Selected by Scottish Future Trust’s South East Territory Hub</title>

<description><![CDATA[The hub South East Territory Board has selected E-Box to support its programme to bring forward community and health infrastructure projects worth approximately £300 million over the next ten years. The hub initiative brings together major public service providers including health boards, local authorities, police and fire services with a private sector partner to plan, develop and deliver local infrastructure projects.
Projects included in the first phase include a Public Library and Community hub, three Community Partnership Centres and a GP Surgery and Day Care Centre. 
The three bidders selected, from 15 submissions, to go forward to this next stage are Alba Community Partnerships (a consortium made up of Cyril Sweett Investment Ltd and Miller Corporate Holdings Ltd) , Robertson Capital Projects and SPACE - Scottish Partnership and Community Enterprise (a consortium made up of Galliford Try Investments Ltd, Fulcrum Infrastructure Management Ltd and Davis Langdon LLP).
